Poor Gordo.

It was all going so well, Mandy was back doing his normal dark wizarding tricks, Gordo managed not to make an ass of himself in the debate, and the Tories lead was falling away. Then along comes a massive dose of Foot in Mouth, ohhh the pain on poor little Gordo's face. He knew it was over, but still had to return to the scene of the crime to ask, nay plead that she forgive him. Whats most hurtful is that this woman represents what effectively could be called a Labour core voter, with pretty much the same view as the rest of them. Its not like she was being that bigoted, only asking current topic questions. I think he must have misheard her, poor Gordo, I think he was having a grumpy day, oh well obscurity beckons.

  1. I feel bad for Gordon over this... he was just voicing what any politician in his position would have thought. And let's face it... she was a bit of a battleaxe! I think he should be applauded for his honesty rather than lambasted!! :-)

  2. I also feel sorry for him, he was never going to win on charm, but at least he had the no nonsense attitude. Im unsure what to do this year, might have to bite the bullet and do the unthinkable.... no not suicide, vote Lib Dem, because my vote will be worthless if I dont.

  3. I *might* have voted lib dem but the local MP came into our office on a 'meet and greet' sporting red (not yellow) socks which was a bit of an own goal IMO. Oh well. :p

BTW, I've added you to my blawgroll over at Law Actually :-)
